Operation intelligence at the age of smarter grids
- Next generation EMS/ADMS solutions that are being deployed at the age of smart grids, and are supposed to be the brain of the gird, have to be intelligent enough itself, to reduce workload of the operator so they can focus on taking care of what matters the most: stability and efficiency of the grid.
- The engine for every EMS/ADMS system is a powerful SCADA, with certain level of grid operation intelligence, and understanding electrcity grid as humans do. This means certain operations should be reliably done with minimum need of the operator involvement, specially when it comes to handling time critical situations.
- Switching of complex technological objects like a Bay, Power line, Busbar or a Transformer with a single dialog are some examples of such operations and the main target is to reduce the operator's workload and increase the safety.
